My husband and I purchased our first home at the start of this year and our laundry is so large (about the size of a small bedroom), that we have been using it as a laundry and office space. This is the first area we have decided to renovate as it is small enough to tackle first up (budget wise) and also a space I find myself spending more and more time in, therefore I really want to revamp it and create my dream home office to work from.

The plan is to keep the laundry hidden (behind sliding doors) along one wall, rip up the old lino flooring and replace it with tiles, and then re-paint the walls. The space I have to work with (for my office) is just over three metres long, so I am envisioning lots of white shelving and storage space, with a desk that will comfortably seat two - maybe even three people. The room actually doesn't need that much done in terms of renovating, the focus for me is the decor and styling, which is why I am so excited to get started!
I have been searching Pinterest for inspiration and as always am drawn to a simple black and white palette. I have decided that I have to include a chalkboard painted wall, as this is something I had in my old home office and it is surprising how much I actually used it and miss it.
I am envisioning something similar to this in terms of layout, storage and size ...
